Direct Access announces public accessibility consultations for Royal Armouries Museums

Direct Access would like to invite D/deaf and disabled people to a series of consultation events to discuss the accessibility of facilities and exhibits at the Royal Armouries museums following the completion of accessibility audits by our internal team. Whether your critiques relate to exhibit interpretation, event curation, delivery of pre-visit information, restroom facilities, or egress strategies, the Royal Armouries are keen to know what improvements you think should be made.
 
The consultation events will allow you to make comments and feedback ideas for future improvements to the accessibility of the three Royal Armouries sites at London, Leeds, and Portsmouth. We also welcome comments on digital accessibility, such as Royal Armouries’ websites and social media.
 
A sign language interpreter will be provided at these consultation events. If you have any specific access requirements, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate you.
 
The venue and dates of these three consultations are as follows and require booking in advance;
 

The White Tower, London (with walk around) on 22nd November

Fort Nelson, Portsmouth on 4th December

Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds on 11th December
