Peter Brassington

Beginning his journey at the business in a minor yet crucial position managing company finances, Peter beat several internal and outsourced applicants to become Direct Access’ second-ever Managing Director after Group founder Steven Mifsud MBE decided to step back from the role in January 2024 to focus on the international growth of the business outside of the UK.

Before joining the Direct Access team, Peter worked in various positions as a General Manager/Managing Director and Sales & Commercial Director in the pharmaceutical and print/packaging sectors where he gained strong financial and commercial background experience.

Previously, he worked as a General Manager and Managing Director at a business that printed cartons, trays, leaflets, and labels, for the food and pharmaceutical industries. At the time Peter managed the business, they had 4 sites, over 800 employees in total, and a turnover of circa £85m. Within this role, Peter also pursued new opportunities in overseas markets, making several successful strategic alliances/mergers/acquisitions.

Peter’s background in the packaging and manufacturing industry has proven valuable to Direct Access’ new tactile map team – a division which creates 3D maps and tactile models for blind and neurodiverse visitors to museums, stations, and recreational facilities.
