This week Direct Access has been featured on BBC News. At a time when the COVID19 infection rate is rapidly increasing and more places face lockdown it is nice to be able to share a positive story.
Meet Our Director
From initially working as a contractor for John Lewis, profoundly deaf Director Steven Mifsud has grown Direct Access into a global team delivering accessibility services on some of the most iconic construction projects, UNESCO world heritage sites and major transport infrastructure.
Watch Our Video
Watch our short video to learn more about where Direct Access began, what we do and how we can help businesses to create a more accessible environment.
We have a strong, established presence in the UK and are often invited to present at conferences across the globe on Universal Design.
Some countries we have worked in include Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where we have engaged with several organisations exploring how the new Dubai Universal Design Code and the Abu Dhabi International Accessibility Standards can be best met. Our UK experience and Ireland includes our work on the Technical Guidance Document, Part M included consultation on Luas, Dublin’s tram network.
Direct Access joined forces with the Creating Dementia Friendly Nantwich local volunteer group to produce a guide to help local businesses to become more dementia friendly. In Nantwich 43.8% of residents are over fifty.
