In a year that has presented so many challenges, one of the highlights of 2020 for us was a presentation we took part in called “Accessibility in a post-COVID word?”.
This was delivered for the New England Museum Association, where we tackled everything from the correct positioning for hand sanitizers, enabling access for service dogs, installing perspex screens, and many other COVID-19 related issues.
The session finished with an understanding of how to develop access guides, which are becoming increasingly important in providing information to enable people with disabilities to make an informed choice about the accessibility of a venue before they visit.
