Jennifer Ford
Access Consultant
With a diverse background in supporting individuals with disabilities, Jennifer joined Direct Access after creating immersive and accessible experiences for schools, universities, municipalities, organizations, and sports teams across America.
Jennifer’s youngest son, Gavin, who was born with Spina Bifida, serves as her inspiration, providing her with a front-row view of the challenges of living in a largely inaccessible world.
In addition to her personal commitment to making the world more accessible, she has dedicated the majority of her professional life to advocating for and creating inclusive spaces for everyone. Most recently, she started 1000 Mile Consulting, with a primary focus on mental health and disability awareness.
Equally as impressive, she is the founder and president of an adaptive sports nonprofit, Include Compete Empower Adaptive Sports, with her first team being a sled hockey team and also the first and only wheelchair lacrosse opportunity in Massachusetts and is currently in the process of partnering with the YMCA to offer wheelchair basketball locally.
Needless to say, Jennifer’s incredible commitment to our shared goal of creating a more inclusive world for all made her a perfect fit for the Direct Access team.
