disability-related issues, his early work included audit consultancy for the department chain <a class=\"simplyweb-checked\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.johnlewis.com\/\">John Lewis<\/a>, several local authorities, housing associations and education establishments from primary to universities.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"simplyweb-checked\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Steven was also the project lead for several major commissions including the\u00a0<a class=\"simplyweb-checked\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencemuseumgroup.org.uk\/\">Science Museum Group<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"simplyweb-checked\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mcarthurglen.com\/en\/\">McArthur Glen<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"simplyweb-checked\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/whc.unesco.org\/en\/list\/\">UNESCO<\/a>\u00a0World Heritage sites, the\u00a0<a class=\"simplyweb-checked\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.romancity.co.uk\/\">Roman City of Bath<\/a>,\u00a0and the\u00a0<a class=\"simplyweb-checked\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/tfl.gov.uk\/travel-information\/improvements-and-projects\/step-free-access\">Transport for London step-free programme<\/a>\u00a0for the 2012 Olympics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"simplyweb-checked\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Steven was the Project Director for Universal Design at the world exposition\u00a0<a class=\"simplyweb-checked\" style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/directaccessgp.com\/uk\/casestudy\/expo-2020-dubai\/\">Expo 2020 Dubai<\/a>, then for the duration of the event became the Director of Accessibility. Most recently, he has led our accessibility consultancy project for COP-28 at Expo City.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;\">Since 2017, Steven has been the lead Access Consultant for railway operator\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.avantiwestcoast.co.uk\/\">Avanti West Coast<\/a>. Steven was also part of the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/directaccessgp.com\/uk\/news\/direct-access-founder-steven-mifsud-set-to-lend-his-voice-to-the-tokyo-paralympics\/\">audio-visual narration<\/a> for the Tokyo Paralympics. Steven is registered with the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nrac.org.uk\/\">National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC)<\/a>.
