Case Study:

Sumner in northern Pierce County, Washington appointed Direct Access in early 2021 to the two-year Architects on Call program to support the City with accessibility related works in the area.

In addition to road and highway connections, Sumner is also served by Sounder commuter rail which directly connects Sumner with Seattle and Tacoma.

The City of Sumner, WA is the first of several arrangements secured in the Puget Sound area which we will update as projects get under way.

The 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design are the federal ADA standards with additional requirements in Washington State:
